NEW FRIENDS
Here is Ryder formerly Wyandotte playing with his big sister Bella. Bella is a litter mate to Bizzi. Chris tells me that Ryder is the smartest dog she has ever met. She tells me he is nearly housebroken already. I will get to see Ryder often as he is going to be shown! Thanks Chris for loving my baby Garrett.
Here is Georgia formerly Minorca with one of her new doggie friends Jersey. She also has another friend Sukie who isn't pictured. I am sure having these two role models will be very good for her! Thanks Ben and Betsy for the pictures...please keep 'em coming!11/22/08

DAY FIFTY FOUR
Maran is still waiting and very sad.
Below Maran, who will now be known as Nico, is pictured with her new Mom Karen. Nico will be living with her great uncle Phoenix and I am sure she will drive him crazy wanting to play.
This is the end of my job and I feel confident that each of these puppies will have a wonderful life. I tried to give these puppies the best start in life that I could so they would make loving companions.11/16/08
DAY FIFTY THREE
The last word in lonesome is ME
Maran is patiently waiting for her new family to come for her but Dominique's wait is over. Today Keith and Marilyn came for Dominique who will now be known as Shiloh. Shiloh will be living with her Aunt Angel who is Garrett's litter mate. It was wonderful to see Keith and Marilyn again and I know Shiloh will have a very happy life!11/15/08

Wyandotte was the second to leave for his new life with Chris. Chris and Wyandotte are going to give the show ring a try! Chris is in the process of thinking of a name for this little sweetheart. One suggestion has been Jackson but Chris is open for suggestions....any ideas any one?

DAY FORTY EIGHT (BAER TESTING)
For those of you who have never seen this procedure, you will find some pictures below showing a puppy being tested.
What this procedure involved is two electrodes inserted in the head and then a small earphone placed in the ear. The machine makes a number of click in the dogs ear and the machine is able to record the brains response to what the ear hears. The results of the BAER testing is 13 hearing ears and one deaf ear. Exactly as I predicted. Ameraucana only hears in one ear just like me. Puppies that only hear in one ear are called unis which is short for unilateral. They still make wonderful pets but, in my opinion, should never be bred. Unfortunately many breeders don't share my thoughts on this and continue to breed unilateral hearing Dal. I feel it is irresponsible to breed such a dog.
This was a very long day for the puppies and me. The closest place for me to have these puppies tested is over 3 hours away. That is a very long drive with 7 puppies but they did quite will through the whole ordeal.

DAY FORTY SIX
Today Sebright managed to get in most of the photos.
Here is Dominique taking her turn with the bottle. The puppies had visitors again today who brought not only home made treats but also some new toys to play with! Of course Bizzi let every one know she was still a puppy too and would like it if just one of the new toy might be for her.
I was very please to see Alicia and Dennis who brought a friend to see the puppies. Alicia and Dennis got one of my puppies nearly 16 years ago and although he lived an extraordinary long wonderful life of nearly 16 years it wasn't long enough. They came to see the puppies for some much needed puppy therapy. They shared with me pictures of Captian's life as a therapy dog. Nothing is more rewarding for a breeder than a visit like this.
Later on Jim and Kathy came to visit the puppies. Bizzi decided that since they came bearing toys she would schmooze all over Jim.
